DIY Halloween Costumes
Have you ever seen a movie or heard an idea and thought, "That would make the perfect Halloween costume!"? Well it happens to me all the time. The problem is, I never remember all my brilliant ideas when October comes around. And, I'm such a big procrastinator when it comes to Halloween costumes that I never get around to deciding what I'm going to be till the week of (hence this post).
Last year, I was out of town for Halloween (strategically planned actually...), so this is the first year Cameron and I can dress up as a "couple." I've researched long and hard for some ideas that are quick to throw together, and will put a smile on people's faces.
So here we go:
1. Squints and Wendy Peffercorn from the Sandlot
Best movie ever! This is definitely a throw back to the past, and will have people smiling all night.

2. Bandits
This is a quick and easy costume to throw together. You probably have all of these pieces in your closet just waiting to be used this Halloween.

3. Jelly Belly Jelly Beans
I thought this was so clever. Requires a little more work, but would totally pay off!

4. Struck by Lightning
I always love those punny costumes. Clever and creative. This costume would be pretty easy to throw together, as long as you don't care about cutting holes in one of your shirts...

5. Suzy Bishop and Sam Shakusky from Moonrise Kingdom
Have you ever seen Moonrise Kingdom? It's not the most popular movie, but is on my husband's Top 5 Best Movies list (he's pretty hipster like that). Surprisingly, a lot of people have told me that I look like Suzy...someday, Cameron and I will get our act together and be this couple for Halloween.

6. A "Tail" of Two Cities
When I first saw this picture, it took me a second to figure it out, but then I was like, "Oh yeah this is awesome!" Very very clever.

7. Alice and the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland
If I could get my hands on a light blue dress, I would be all over this costume in a heartbeat.

Are you dressing up this year? What are you going to be for Halloween?
I love the Alice one! Super cute. Shannon, you and Cam are might be the only ones who recognize what we are this year. Be on my the lookout for a pic of us on FB or IG! I know you guys will get it lol
