Maison Salad
Keeping Up Cookbook
1 large head green or red leaf lettuce, rinsed and torn
1 cup grated swiss cheese
¼ pound bacon, cooked crisp and diced 
2/3 cup slivered or sliced almonds, toasted
Dressing:
Juice of 1 lemon
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
¾ cup vegetable oil
Whisk together dressing ingredients (refrigerate overnight
for optimal flavor).  Toss dressing
with salad ingredients just prior to serving.
