Happy St. Patrick's Day!
St. Patrick's Day has always been a fun holiday for me. Growing up I remember opening my lunch in Elementary School and my mom had packed for me Granny Smith green apples, some kind of green dessert, and to top it off-green bread (no! not moldy! but did you know you buy bread that has been colored green?!) for my sandwich. It only happened once a year and I loved it and always looked forward to it.But why green? I know we have usually associated the color green with Ireland already, but why?
After perusing the internet I found that St. Patrick's Day commentaries Christianity coming to Ireland and marks the death of Saint Patrick himself. I couldn't find an exact reason for the wearing of green other than green being already connected to Ireland with the flag and shamrocks. But! I did find that shamrocks are a big deal because Saint Patrick used shamrocks to explain the Trinity.
You can check out more facts here (this was the site I liked the most):

Well there's a couple of random facts for you! I wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day and hope your breakfast was as good as mine!!
(green pancakes (used a flower cookie cutter and just made a stem out of one of the petals), green eggs, and green milk! (and chocolate chips..because I love them))
