Melt Away Cookies. Literally..they'll melt away!

I have this favorite cookie.  I remember the first time I had one was back when I was 8 (so over ten years ago) at one of my cousin's either bridal or baby shower (I can't remember) and I fell in love with them.  It's a cookie that will just melt in your mouth (thus the name) with having just the right sweetness.

This was also the last time I had these cookies.  I've been craving them ever since.

I have no idea why it has taken me this long to make this recipe, but in the past months, I have taken these cookies to different functions and they were gone within the first hour of the gathering.

I'm telling ya-these are your new "go-to" AND they are so simple to make.  My kind of thing.

They're called Melt Away Cookies:

Recipe:
preheat oven for 350º
1 cup softened butter (do NOT melt)
¾ cup cornstartch
⅓ cup powdered sugar
1 cup flour
cook for 11 minutes

Frosting:
3 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup powder sugar
milk to liking
dye any color you want!

Throw everything into your mixing bowl and mix it all together until you get a nice, smooth texture.  It's going to look like butter (well...the recipe IS basically butter).

Next plop them onto your cookie sheet. These cookies don't really spread out much so you can fit a ton on one pan!  Plus, smaller cookies means you can totally justify having 3 or maybe 4.........

Cook for 11 minutes and then remove and let the cookies cool! Frost them and bam. You have a ridiculously delicious, crowd loving cookie.

P.S. the second time I made these cookies I thought I could do it from memory because of the simplicity of the recipe and I forgot the flour...

I opened the oven and thought my mom had taken my cookies out and put something else in...but no. My cookies were destroyed!!  Instead of melting away in my mouth...then literally melted in the oven.

So don't forget the flour and ENJOY!!
